jasocon92 I only know Maura from Mixtapes in the early 2010s. Their catchy pop punk songs were pure gold. Maura's music may not be as energetic and catchy as her previous band was, but it's much more mature, and her songwriting is much better. I hear stories and just the everyday life of a young woman. Wasn't expecting the twang I heard in the some of the song or how calm this turn out to be. Very good solo debut. Favorite track: I Was Due For A Heartbreak, I Guess.

Jake Grubman I saw Maura Weaver on tour with Endless Mike and the Beagle Club, at Quarry House in Silver Spring, MD. Brilliant concert, and she played a terrific set. During Goner, a guy came up from the audience and played a giant kazoo -- it seemed like nobody, including the band, knew who he was. Anyway, it's nice to be surprised. Goner has been on repeat all week, and I'll be recommending this album to a lot of friends. Favorite track: Goner.
